Walk On

This past Sunday I participated in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I was surrounded by family and friends (and a very sweet boyfriend) who gathered to walk in honor of my big sister Michelle. We lost her to suicide almost 13 years ago. I personally raised almost $1,600 but my mom raised the most of the entire walk, over $5000. It was a difficult day, full of sadness and heartbreak. But it was also a beautiful reminder of how loved she was and how missed she continues to be. To lose a sister is a horrible, painful thing that forever breaks your heart. But this experience has reminded me how truly cared for I am. I have the kindest friends in the world and I am a part of the warmest, most caring family on the planet.  I am lucky to have so much love in my life. Thank you to everyone who walked and donated. Your support means the world to me. xo
