About a month ago I was contacted by the lovely people at Minted, a company I have admired for a long time. (I mean have you seen their inspired new partnership with West Elm? Or the fact that they make custom wrapping paper?) They invited me to a holiday dinner party and graciously offered to make my holiday cards free of charge. The dinner itself was a lovely event held in the heart of my old neighborhood at The Little Owl event space which by the way is a fabulous place to have a party. We ate and drank very well that night as I recall and the company was a group of interesting and creative women from assorted backgrounds. My holiday cards were there waiting for me as well as festive crafting spread that would have made Martha Stewart sweat with jealousy.
I've made a habit of sending a holiday card every year for awhile now. I think it's a kind gesture and a small way to keep up with people who you don't see all the time. I am always delighted and touched by any holiday cards I receive. This was my first year working with Minted and I had a great experience. They have a ridiculously giant collection of well designed cards to choose from and customize to your your heart's content. I have always preferred the personal touch of a photo card so that's the route I went. I also happen to have a ginormous library of selfies to choose from. I ultimately landed on the Insta Holiday card because I couldn't decide on just one picture and liked the idea of an assortment. I chose red for some holiday pizazz and I went with rounded corners and craft envelopes because, well, duh. The process was smooth and easy and the cards turned out superbly. I'm delighted with the result and I can't wait to send them out to all my favorite people. I mean the only thing better than one photo of me hanging on your fridge is most definitely eight photos of me hanging on your fridge, right? (I'm a ridiculous person).
Moving on. I am very excited to announce that I'll be giving one of you a $300 credit(!) so you can get the custom holiday cards of your dreams thanks to the good people at Minted. I don't do too many giveaways around here anymore but I am always willing to make an exception for a company that I love and would order from on my own. And Minted fits the bill. So, how do you win this most excellent $300 Minted gift card you ask?
Check out the slew of charming holiday card offerings on Minted's website and leave a comment with the title of your favorite card design. It's that easy. Here's a few beauties to get you in the mood.
