It's no secret I love baseball, more specifically and pretty much exclusively, Atlanta Braves baseball. In a heartbreaking game on Monday night, we lost the division series to the Dodgers. It always hurts to lose. But Braves loses are emotional for me. I don't just love my team, I love what it stands for and what it reminds me of which is my beloved hometown, my roots, my family and dearest friends and my childhood. I feel the wins and the loses in my bones. But, we take the loss in stride (we're pretty used to them) and we officially say goodbye to summer and baseball season. One of the true beauties of baseball is come spring training we get to start all over again. After all, there's always next year. See you then, Bravos.
p.s. Baseball is dead to me but if I must... Go Pirates!
