As I mentioned yesterday, I went to a baby shower for a good friend this weekend. I sent something from the registry but I always feel a tiny bit awkward showing up empty handed or with a card that says "um, yeah, your gift is on the way." So, I decided to give the mom to be my two favorite books from childhood. I know it's early and the baby won't be looking at books for awhile but reading is so important! And it's never to early to start a solid collection of great children's books for your kids. Right? So I present you with my two favorites. I can still remember my dad reading me The Lorax and my mom reading me Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel. Oh my goodness now I feel like crying. What were your favorite books growing up?
