Well I trust you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I certainly did. My mom came up from Atlanta and we had dinner with friends. There was an obscene amount of food and it was all delicious. Thank heavens for leftovers, which mom and I continued to indulge in long after Thursday. In fact I still have some. We watched The Wire Season 2 (that show is terrific, btw) and online shopped for rugs and furniture for my place. It was a lovely, lazy long weekend which is just how I like it. And now, the Holiday season officially begins. Every store is playing Christmas music and there's decorations everywhere you look. I always go home for Christmas so I've never done too much decorating here. But I love a wreath. It does wonders for giving you a warm, cozy welcome home. And, of course, there's nothing like New York at Christmas. The city is so pretty, there's an excitement in the air and the cold weather hasn't made me want to murder anyone yet. Why, I may even have to go check out the tree at Rockefeller all lit up and pretty like.
Happy Start of the Holiday Season, Y'all!
