I kind of feel bad for the saltine. It's often overlooked and always under appreciated. But not by me, I love the saltine. It's not a hard and fast rule, of course, but sometimes the simplest really is the best. And the saltine is perfectly simple. Of course it's delicious crumbled up in chicken soup. But I also enjoy it with peanut butter, regular butter, jam and a host of other toppings. Another delicious treat is toasting cheese atop saltines, the edges getting a lil' burnt, which I love. It's a cheesy, melty good time and you can honestly eat that for dinner. All I'm sayin' is don't over look the poor saltine. I think it's time we gave them some propers. That is all.
