Blogger Crush: Natalie of The SoHo

Hello, friends. It has been a nice, long while since I’ve give you a blogger crush. I definitely owe you a few more and not to worry, they are on the way. Today I bring you dear Natalie of the delightfully charming blog The SoHo. Her blog, “slices of life from the southern hostess,” is filled to the brim with beauty and goodness. It comes in the form of recipes and delicious foods, beautiful design and photography and many other lovely bits of inspiration sure to make you smile. I’ve often thought that Natalie and I are kindred spirits of sorts and her blogger crush answers below only made me more of a believer. The quote she gave for “what quotation best reflects you and what you’re all about?” is my all time favorite answer ever and it made me love her even more. I’m totally stealing it and making it my mantra. And until we can meet and laugh over a cup of coffee and a piece of pie, I will continue to be an interwebs-admirerer and a virtual pal. Blogger Crush: Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere

Hello, dearies. Get excited because I have an awesome blogger crush stopping by today. I’m sure most of you know the lovely Emily of cupcakes and cashmere. I am over the moon to have her. Fact: she happens to have more style in her pinky finger than I have in my whole (giant sized) body. She shares many of her perfectly put together outfits on her blog through series of beautiful portraits her boyfriend takes. It’s that kind of effortless style that you almost hate because it looks completely pulled together but somehow manages to never cross the line over into trying to hard territory. Oh, did I mention she’s gorgeous? To boot, she also cooks lots of delicious treats (like these) and has a keen eye for style and design of all sorts. And on top of it all she just designed a Coach bag (say whaaaaaat, coolest thing ever)! Her blog is all kinds of inspiration-y goodness and she is a 100% sweetie pie. Hugs to you, dear Emily!

Today I bring you a delightful treat, another lovely blogger who I have a wee crush on. This time is the sweet Carolynn from Two Brunettes. Carolynn is an amazing designer and illustrator who makes very pretty paper goods and also creates custom blog headers. I particularly love the recipe cards in her etsy shop. She also curates and writes a charming blog by the same name. It’s full of lovely inspiration for your eyes. And it is no surprise that she has a seriously cute blog header herself. Blogger Crush: Giao from Kiss My Spatula

I have always had a soft spot for food blogs (I think this is largely due to my love of food). And I have an especially soft spot for really beautiful food blogs. Kiss My Spatula is one such blog, a fave of mine for sure. Giao is the uber-talented photographer/cook behind Kiss My Spatula and she is simply the coolest. Her photography is stunning and mouth-watering, it is by far some of the best I have ever seen. And she’s obviously got some legit cooking chops because she features some pretty ridiculous recipes (homemade goat cheese, cherry garcia ice cream and peanut butter? YES, please). For each recipe, Giao also provides a music recommendation because, “music pairings are as important as fresh ingredients & good company.” How ridiculously awesome (and true!) is that? And, she’s also a total sweet pea. I wish I could sneak into her kitchen, listen to her iPod, chat her up and be the official taster of all of her masterful and delectable creations. I’m back with another totally awesome Blogger Crush for you today. Meet Abbey from the lovely blog Abbey Goes Design Scouting. I’m sure many of you are familiar with it, she’s a regular blogging pro! Abbey’s mantra: “Design is everywhere. Inspiration isn’t far behind.” How awesome is that? I love this woman. She’s a design superstar, it’s as simple as that. She’s even getting a Masters in the history of design at Cooper-Hewitt. Which is very cool and makes me just the tiniest bit jealous. And guess what? She’s a Upper West Sider just like yours truly! Oh, friends. I have a good crush for you today. I mean a really good one. Of course all of my blogger crushes are good, but every once and a while I stumble upon a blogger who just speaks to me. Like directly to my heart. Meet Jamie of the amazing blog From Me To You. I recently stumbled onto this visual feast for my eyes and the minute I saw the lovely blog design and all of the beautiful photos I was instantly hooked. You see, Jamie is an insanely talented photographer so it is super easy to get lost among the tons of beautiful photos she shares on her blog. Remember I featured some of the free iPhone wallpapers she creates from her masterpieces? She takes exquisite pictures of all of her subjects, but the NYC snapshots have a special in my heart. We also happen to have a few things in common; like me Jamie appreciates all things vintage and southern and she loves good food (check out the dinner and a movie section of her blog). And on top of all of that she’s just super cool. You’ll see what I mean once you read her answers and get to know her a little better. Oh and guess what else? She lives in my neighborhood! An Upper West Side girl just like me?! You better watch out Jamie, I may move on from cyber stalking you and just actually stalk you. Just kidding. Sorta.

Remember these awesome scrapbook pages I showed you on Friday? Well they’re made me the uber-talented and super stylish Amanda (Mandi) of the lover-ly blog Here’s looking at me kid. On her blog she’s always sharing her newest scrapbook page and they are so very pretty. But that’s not all, she also posts her adorable outfits (homegirl is very stylish), beautiful photography and other bits of general loveliness. One of my favorite things she recently shared was her bedroom makeover – it. is. so. awesome. (And I am fully ripping off the homemade Beatles artwork thing). Oh and she has a charming vintage shop and designs and sells amazing scrapbook papers kits. Mandi you can take my picture, design any room in my home, select my outfit or make me a scrapbook page anytime you want. I seem to pretty much love everything that you do. Keep it up, woman! Blogger Crush: Melanie of you are my fave

Isn’t the blog world crazy? I am constantly amazed at how many ridiculously cool and creative blogs there are to enjoy. Just when I think I’ve read them all, a new blog emerges that I fall in love with. you are my fave is just such a blog. I recently found it but it has quickly become one that I check everyday. Melanie is the sassy gal behind you are my fave where she shares lovely bits of goodness and inspiration of all sorts. I also really dig her P is for Party tumblr page with tons of inspiring party lovin’ prettiness. She has an awesome eye and is also one heck of a sweetie pie. I’m a fan of Melanie and a fan of her kickin’ style. If you haven’t checked out you are my fave, you definitely should. And once you read through her answers, you will love Melanie even more.
