Scenes from Superbowl Sunday

We didn’t do anything too crazy. The older I get the happier I am with staying in, warm and snuggly on the couch with my man and my home cooked treats. I made a big pot of chili with all the fixins. Do you have a go to chili recipe? I do and it never, ever disappoints (thank you, Ms. Martha). And something you should know about me is that I love toppings! I can’t get enough of them. I dump crumbled up tortilla chips, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, pickled jalapenos, cilantro and lime juice all on top of my chili. A little crazy I know, but it makes me oh so happy. How about you? Any festive gatherings or fun events surrounding the big game?
As a maker of ads I feel I should weigh in on my opinion of the commercials. My two faves:
This one for Google made me cry. So sweet.
This was also awesome. One of my best friends and former work partner made it. I am so proud!

Adored the Google commercial – played elegantly with my heartstrings! We had some people over and I made a big pot of authentic jambalaya (thanks to a recipe from Mark Bittman’s blog), naan pizza, chips and salsa, and chocolate mousse parfaits for dessert! Needless to say, we were all rooting for the Saints and had a great time devouring our feast!

I love the google commercial, though I missed it the first time around.
We had people over and I cooked lots of goodies… our guests brought their kiddos so it was a little too hectic to watch all the commercials. Thanks for posting these!

Heh… that second commercial. I love how they try to pass those cars as being awesomely clean. But as I say, if people didn’t pollute and didn’t believe in environmental friendly cars and things like that, I wouldn’t have a job :p

The chili looks great!
I work in a study abroad office, so there was a TON of buzz about the Google commercial at work today.

oooh the google commercial was my absolute favorite. the audi green car was a really good one, as well as the simpsons coke commercial where Monty Burns lost his fortune. Too cute!
