Something lovely for Monday

I’m going to be honest, I would drape myself in garlands (note: I’ve officially learned this is bunting not garlands) if it were socially acceptable. (Seinfeld ref in honor of last night’s amazing Curb/Seinfeld reunion) I absolutely adore them! And now I’ve finally gone and made one of my own. I don’t have a sewing machine, so I used the no-sew method (like this) and I had a ball. It was so easy and fun and it kind of looks absolutely fabulous, don’t you think? I have a sinking suspicion I’m going to be making many, many more of these in different shapes, sizes and color palettes. But for now, here’s my first masterpiece, hanging in my office. Be still my heart.

p.s. do you call this bunting or garland? (note: I’ve officially learned this is bunting not garlands)

And Erin, since you’re a total wordsmith what do you call these?

Soooo pretty! Loooove the colors! I think people call them bunting flags, but in my opinion, either term works!

That’s bunting, and adorable. Garlands are made of flowers, bunting is made from fabric.

Such pretty colors! What a good idea – I think I might use that for a bare wall in my apartment!

@Emily – I’m thinking of doing the same thing. This has opened up a whole new world of decorating options for me. I want some in every single room!

I recognize those lovely taupe (tawny?) and pink flower canvases. The garlands are gorgie, btw. Looking forward to sleeping under their watchful eye on Dec. 17th!
