I love few things more than I love beautiful, vintage, black and white snap shots. Which is why I adore the LIFE Photo Archive hosted by Google. I love the charming and playful lifestyle candids but I am also moved by the hanuting and poignant images captured. They always inspire me and warm my heart. Plus it makes searching for cool old photos ridiculously easy; you can search by decade, person, place, event and a host of other things. I searched “summer scenes” and here’s some of the highlights. They make me smile so I hope they can brighten your day, even just the tiniest bit. Enjoy.

Oh I LOVE the LIFE photo archive too. That’s where my header photo is from! You picked some really great ones, especially #2!

I adore the second last photo with the silhouette of the little boy, girl and dog running along the beach. The energy of that photo is just delightful
