Inspiration Folder: Tomatoes

The hint of warm weather is giving me a taste for the sweet flavor of fresh summer tomatoes. They are pretty much the single greatest thing in the world. I can’t wait for them to make their appearance. Give me some tomato slices, a little salt and pepper a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic and I’m a happy girl. Add some fresh mozzarella and basil, and I’m a super happy girl. Plus, they sure a pretty lookin’ aren’t they?

Vine ripe tomatoes are the best. Just planted mine last week. Everyday I look, hoping it is growing very fast!

I LOVE tomatoes! But I must eat them on the day of purchase as I only adore them when they are fresh! I made a delicious pesto dish last night with fresh tomatoes and it was divine!

summer fresh tomatoes might just be my favorite thing about summer… and that tops quite a hefty list of things i love about summer. Can’t wait!

Mmmm, juicy-lookin’! Tomatoes are such fresh fireworks in the mouth, no? Maybe I’ll make a tomato salad this afternoon …

Me too. When I was a kid we grew our own in the backyard. I haven’t tasted a tomato so yummy and juicy since then.
