Blogger Crush: Anne from The City Sage
Posted on | May 15, 2009 | 15 Comments
Happy Friday, friends! The lovely Anne from The City Sage is the object of my Blogger Crushing today. The City Sage is a wonderful blog that just happens to be turning a year old this week (Happy Birthday City Sage!). Anne is the stylish sweetie behind this must read and she is a doll! She has an amazing eye for interiors and wonderful taste in clothes. I would happily allow her to decorate my home/dress me for an important event. (what do you say Anne?) She even invited me to guest blog at City Sage while she was away on her somewhat delayed but amazing looking Honeymoom in Maui. She’s a sassy city girl with a love for the simple things in life. She recently commented right here on Old Sweet Song “I need more girlfriends for movie dates!” Oh Anne, if only you were still in NYC, we’d have many movie dates I’m sure. Thanks for visiting Anne!

Re #4: I have it on good authority that in addition to reading historical novels, Ms. Sage also enjoyed excavating from piles of fallen leaves, slightly mushed yet intact packages of zebra cakes and devouring said confections with an un-named, yet similarly nerdy, blogger.

Yay! This was a great read, Amy. And it’s great to meet Anne, since I’ve heard so much about City Sage. Happy weekend to all.

Oh, I love seeing a little more of Anne here (and finding out we were both the nerdy girls reading historical novels every spare second of our childhoods).

“Peepshow” is a hilarious gem! A must watch.

Thank you Miss Amy for giving me a chance to indulge in one of my greatest loves—filling out surveys! Would you all think less of me if I revealed that when I can’t sleep at night, I plan how I would answer various random survey questions? Sometimes the huz and I collaborate on our answers–after all, if we’re ever on one of those couples’ gameshows, we have to be prepared!
And I’m so relieved to know that I wasn’t the only gal bringing a book to recess. Maybe there’s a direct correlation with historical fiction novels/blogging?
Thanks again Amy for such a fun post!

I love this interview series! How fun! I love the two-fold answers for the what you want to be when you grow up & what era you would live in…I think you can do it all!! Anne- did you have a bookmobile in your town? That, hands down, was my favorite childhood memory- what could be better than a little bus parked around the corner from your house, filled with the newest & best books….NOTHING!

Oh, I adored Anne before reading this and now do even more! She just has such a wonderful outlook and has such a way with words. I can easily see her being both of her “what I want to do when I grow ups!”

I love these answers. I am also a bit of a book nerd when it comes to historical novels.
