Ikea, I think love you.

So what was I so afraid of? This is going to sound crazy. But I just went to Ikea for the first time ever. I was always frightened of attempting to go without a car. I know there’s some shuttle thing and whatever, but it sounded like hell on earth to me! But, I need new furniture and it needs to be pretty f’ing cheap. Until Saturday, I had only ever heard about the amazing-ness/nightmare that is Ikea. My mom was in town and she suggested we go first thing Saturday morning. I jumped at the opportunity knowing if mom was by my side, everything would be okay! And it was, moms are like that. There were a few downfalls, namely one incident with a rather grouchy check out lady, lifting the furniture wasn’t the easiest, and they were out of one piece that we wanted. But when all is said done, you have this lovely new furniture that is all put together (yes, I paid for delivery and installation and it was worth every penny!) AND you can still pay the rent.
I am an Ikea fan. I may even go back by myself (!) on a strictly small item/knick knack search. For now, feast your eyes on our new pieces!

Yay! I got this sideboard for our living room (that I have been coveting!) I am head over heels in love with this one.

I got this wee rug for the kitchen. I love multi-colored stripes!

For my office storage I got two of these square white shelves to go next to each other. Also grabbed a few of these baskets that tuck nicely inside for clutter.

Also got this really pretty dresser for the foot of our bed. We already have dressers but we need something to put the tv on and extra storage is always good. This is perfect!

)

An Ikea virgin?! I’m in shock. I have to admit that I have a slight Ikea addiction. Next time you’re there you should check out their fabric section. They have great choices and really good prices.

Neat sis! You did it, finally. I think your floor rug is on one of my couches but in blanket form. It’s all the same colors! We have very simular tastes, you know.

Aw rats, I used “to” instead of “too”. I hate that.

Cute finds. Congrats on your first trip. It’s addictive. Watch out for the fabric section, the kitchen items and the pointless vessels.
