The Pink Balloon

I’ve posted before about some of my jewelry making endeavors. I was quite the busy jewelry making bee around Christmas gifts but have fallen off the wagon a bit since then. I would really like to keep dabbling in it though so I’ve put a plan in place. I’ve decided to use the beautiful and striking images that I come across every day as inspiration. I don’t know if I’ll stick with it forever, but for now, I think it’ll be a lot of fun and give me a bit of structure.
Here’s my first beautiful image inspired jewelry piece. I’m sure most of you have seen Joanna (of the amazing blog Cup of Jo) and her fiance Alex’s engagement pictures. They were all over the interwebs, but it is easy to see why, they are absolutely stunning! The talented photographer behind these images and many other beauties (most recently these) is Max Wanger. His photos are so much fun and he captures his subjects in a real and genuine way. I love all of his work but the image of Joanna and Alex with the big pink balloon is so iconic and playful, it completely transcends normal engagement portraits. I am absolutely in love with this photo and used it as inspiration to make a pretty pair of earrings that I’m excited to share with you. Thanks to Max for sharing your talent and for Joanna and Alex for sharing you beautiful portraits! Stay tuned for more of my inspired jewelry.
