I am in love with the fact that our new place has a spacious and lovely private patio. I am also in love with the fact that it is soon to be spring (and then summer) so we’ll be getting a lot of use out of our back area very quickly. Yay for bbqs and bottles of wine enjoyed outside. Yahoo! With this lovely new space comes a lot of dreaming and scheming on my part of fun outdoor furniture and accessories. There will be plenty more on this in the upcoming weeks/months but for now, I love the idea of affordable DIY outdoor lighting options like these. One uses plastics cups, the other ping pong balls. What fun!

My friend Amanda made that cup lamp, only she made an indoor lamp using styrofoam cups. It turned out awesome, but I actually love those ping pong balls. The color and shape is really fun and very you.

I’m trying to figure out the outdoor lighting for our patio too! I might just go simple and get a string of large white bulbs, but these look like fun options.
