The Newest Skill I Need to Acquire

Posted on | January 31, 2009 | 1 Comment

I’m obsessed with creating, so I am pretty much constantly adding to my already uber-long list of things I want to learn to do/classes I want to take. Here’s the list; letterpress, creative writing, crochet, silk screen, using a sewing machine, countless cooking classes, photography (both digital and black and white), ceramics, the list goes on. I usually say “I’m addicted to classes.” But my wonderful writer friend Ashley rephrased it beautifully by saying “You’re not addicted to classes, you’re addicted to learning.” It’s good to be friends with a writer (they also write great cover letters but I won’t get into that now).

So, back to my learning addiction. My newest skill I need to acquire ASAP is quilting. I love the cozy and homey-ness of them. And I heart the mismatched fabrics and handmade qualities. Let’s face it, quilts are f’ing amazing. As soon as I learn I’ll whip some up real quick like. Here’s what I’ll use for inspiration.
